Tokyo Photo Awards - TIFA

The prestigious Tokyo International Foto Awards (TIFA) recognizes and exhibits exceptional photographs from all corners of the globe.

A jury composed of renowned photography experts, curators, and international gallery owners meticulously evaluated entries in 10 categories in the Professional and Non-Professional divisions of the contest.

My participation in this competition in 2023 was awarded an Honorable Mention in the Fine Art Landscape category and an Honorable Mention in the Nature Landscape category.

The award-winning photograph above was taken at dawn, at the top of the Tengger caldera, which offers a privileged view of Mount Bromo and Mount Semeru.
Mount Bromo is one of the most incredible volcanoes in the world and is surrounded by several volcanoes in one of the most magnificent and spectacular landscapes in the world.

The other award-winning photograph was taken near the city of Tromso, Norway, surrounded by mountains and frozen lakes.

Sometimes hunting for the Northern Lights takes a long time, but it is always a spectacular natural phenomenon.
The Northern Lights are an optical phenomenon that occurs in the Northern Hemisphere, characterized by the formation of colorful lights in the sky.

This phenomenon is linked to the interaction between solar winds and chemical elements, especially in the layer of the atmosphere called the thermosphere.
