Event Naturcôa and Imaginature

During November, I had the opportunity to participate as a speaker at two important nature photography events in Portugal: Naturcôa, in Sabugal, and Imaginature, held on November 15th and 16th.

Both events attracted more than 200 participants, demonstrating the growing interest in landscape photography, wildlife, and environmental conservation.

Throughout the two presentations, I sought to convey an essential message: we live on a unique, extraordinary, and fragile planet that needs our respect and care. Photography plays a fundamental role in raising awareness of this reality, and that was the common thread I brought to both meetings.

Naturcôa: Landscape and Wildlife Photography in Sabugal

At Naturcôa, I presented a selection of photographs focused on the natural landscape and wildlife, sharing experiences about fieldwork, techniques used, and the creative process behind each image.
The event continues to consolidate itself as a reference in the field, bringing together photographers, researchers, and nature lovers.
In addition to showing my work, I sought to reinforce the importance of preserving the ecosystems we photograph—not only for their beauty, but because they are essential to life on the planet.

Imaginature 2024: Two Days Dedicated to Nature Photography

On November 15 and 16, I also participated in Imaginature, a festival recognized for the diversity of nature photography authors and projects in Portugal.

With more than 200 people in attendance, the event provided moments of sharing, reflection, and inspiration.

In my speech, I again highlighted the responsibility we all have towards the planet. Photography, in addition to recording what we see, can—and should—raise awareness of the urgent need to protect the nature that surrounds us.

Photography as a tool for environmental awareness

These two events reinforced my belief that nature photography is a powerful form of communication. Through images, we can bring people closer to the natural world, reveal its beauty and fragility, and inspire positive change.

I would like to thank everyone who attended, supported, and shared these moments. I remain motivated to create, explore, and share images that contribute to valuing and protecting our planet—the only one we have.
