About the expedition
This expedition combines the best of wild Brazil in two unique settings: the Pantanal and the Amazon. We start in the Northern Pantanal, where river safaris reveal the power of nature through close encounters with jaguars, giant otters, birds, and all the exuberant wildlife of the Pantanal.
Then we head to the Rio Negro in the Amazon for days of sailing among igapós, islands, and preserved forests. Here, sloths, monkeys, dolphins, and rare birds become the protagonists of incredible moments.
It is an intense, photographic, and deeply natural travel—for those who want to experience Brazil's wildlife in a true way and take home images and memories that will last forever.
Itinerary
DAY 1 | CUIABÁ
Arrival at Marechal Rondon International Airport, in Cuiabá, gateway to the Pantanal and the Amazon.
Reception and transfer to the hotel, where participants can rest from their journey and begin to get into the rhythm of the expedition.
In the late afternoon, we will hold a briefing on the expedition, presenting the itinerary for the coming days, photographic objectives, logistical guidelines, equipment care, and time for questions. This will also be the first opportunity for the group to get to know each other.
Dinner at your leisure.
DAY 2 | TRANSPANTANEIRA - PANTANAL
Early departure from Cuiabá after breakfast, heading to the heart of the Pantanal.
The trip continues along the legendary Transpantaneira Road (approx. 150 km), one of the world's most iconic roads for wildlife viewing and photography. Along the way, we will make strategic stops for photography, exploring bridges, flooded areas, and open fields—the habitat of birds, alligators, capybaras, and other emblematic species.
Arrival at our lodge for the next few days in the early afternoon, with time for check-in and lunch.
After resting, we will depart for our first boat safari (half day) along the region's rivers.
This first contact with the Pantanal marks the beginning of our total immersion in the biome, with unique opportunities to photograph flooded landscapes, riverside birds, and, with luck, our first encounters with jaguars in their natural environment.
DAY 3, 4 & 5 - PANTANAL
Departure at dawn to take advantage of the best daylight and the moments of greatest wildlife activity.
Boat safari dedicated to searching for jaguars along the banks of the Cuiabá River and its tributaries, one of the most emblematic regions of the Pantanal for wildlife observation and photography.
During the safaris, we will have opportunities to observe and photograph:
- jaguars
- giant otters
- alligators
- guaribas and capuchin monkeys
- large birds, such as blue macaws, spoonbills, and different species of hawks
The routes are adapted to the conditions of the day and the sightings, prioritizing time, silence, and ideal positioning for photography.
Lunch will be served on the boat.
We will return to our lodge at sunset, with the golden light ending each day of our expedition in the Pantanal.
DAY 6 | CUIABÁ - MANAUS
After breakfast, we begin our return journey along the legendary Transpantaneira Road, crossing the Pantanal once again with the possibility of wildlife viewing along the way.
Arrival in Cuiabá and continuation of the trip with a flight to Manaus, the gateway to the Amazon.
Arrival in Manaus in the late afternoon or early evening, with transfer to the hotel and time to rest after the intense days of the Pantanal expedition.
DAY 7 | AMAZON
Departure from Manaus after breakfast, with private transfer to our lodge, crossing river and forest landscapes that mark the entrance to the Amazon.
After arrival and check-in, the afternoon is dedicated to a peaceful canoe trip, ideal for slow and quiet photography. During the trip, we will have opportunities to observe dolphins, as well as various species of Amazonian birds, exploring riverbanks, streams, and flooded forest areas.
At dusk, we will set out on a photographic cruise on the Rio Negro, taking advantage of the deep colors of the sky reflected in the dark waters of the river—one of the most photogenic moments of the day.
After dinner, we will go on an alligator hunt, a classic Amazonian nighttime experience that allows us to observe and photograph the fauna with flashlights, always respecting responsible and low-impact practices.
DAY 8 | AMAZON
Start the day with nature watching at sunrise, a quiet and special moment for landscape and wildlife photography, sounds of the forest awakening, and the first movements of wildlife.
After breakfast, depart for a guided walk in the forest, where we will learn about medicinal plants, basic survival techniques, and the ancestral relationship between humans and the forest. During the walk, there is the possibility of observing wildlife, including monkeys and sloths, as well as birds and insects characteristic of the region.
In the late afternoon, we will travel to and set up camp in the heart of the Amazon, providing an authentic experience and a deep connection with the natural environment.
At night, we will experience the forest's nightlife, learning to recognize the sounds, behaviors, and dynamics of nocturnal animals.
The day ends with observation of the night sky, far from any light pollution—a rare opportunity for contemplation and photography of the Amazonian starry sky.
DAY 9 | AMAZON
The day begins with nature observation at sunrise, a moment of deep calm to listen to the forest, watch the light filter through the trees, and capture subtle scenes of wildlife in morning activity.
During the morning, we will visit the home of a caboclo family, providing a genuine encounter with the local culture. It will be an opportunity to learn about traditional customs, habits, and ways of life, deeply connected to the cycles of the rivers and the forest, enriching our human understanding of the Amazon.
In the afternoon, we will set out on a canoeing experience through the igarapés and igapós, navigating narrow natural corridors and flooded forest areas. This is one of the most emblematic settings in the Amazon, ideal for intimate landscape photography, reflections, textures, and discreet wildlife observation.
The day unfolds at a slow pace, respecting the rhythm of the forest and allowing for a deep connection with the Amazonian environment.
DAY 10 | AMAZON - RETURN
This day marks the group's return to Manaus and home, marking the end of the expedition.
After days among jaguars, immense rivers, and endless forests—of silent encounters with sloths and the raw intensity of wildlife—it is time to return home.
We return different.
Lighter.
More attentive.
More connected to the nature that welcomed us with such grandeur.
We take with us the smell of the forest, the constant sound of running water, the golden light of the Pantanal, and the deep silence of the Rio Negro in the Amazon.
And, of course, we return with our memory cards full — not only with unique images, but with unrepeatable moments, the kind that only wildlife can offer. Memories that will remain long after any photograph.

Tour highlights
Accommodation
During the expedition, accommodation was carefully chosen to provide comfort, tranquility, and absolute proximity to nature, without compromising the authenticity of the experience.
In the Pantanal, we stayed at a lodge located near Porto Jofre, strategically positioned to maximize time on photographic safaris. The natural surroundings, comfortable simplicity, and direct connection to the rivers create the ideal environment to rest after intense days of wildlife observation and photography.
In the Amazon, the lodge is located in the middle of the forest, accessible only by river, offering an experience of isolation and total immersion. The lodgings are integrated into the landscape, allowing a constant connection to the sounds, smells, and rhythms of the forest, from sunrise to nightlife.
In both destinations, the accommodation is an integral part of the expedition—not just a place to sleep, but a space for connection, rest, and inspiration, designed for those who seek to experience nature in a deep and conscious way.
Patanal
The Pantanal is one of the last great places to see wildlife on the planet and one of the best destinations in the world for wildlife photography. Over several days, we explore the Northern Pantanal region on photographic boat safaris, navigating along the banks of the Cuiabá River and its tributaries, focusing on observing and photographing jaguars in their natural environment.
The proximity to the wildlife allows us to capture animal behavior and action, always in ideal lighting conditions—from sunrise to the last colors of the day.
In addition to jaguars, there are constant opportunities to photograph otters, alligators, monkeys, and an impressive diversity of birds, including blue macaws, spoonbills, and birds of prey.
The open landscapes, mirrored rivers, and golden light of the Pantanal offer a unique setting for landscape photography and visual storytelling, making each outing a complete exercise in observation, patience, and photographic creation.
Amazon
The Amazon provides a totally different photographic experience, marked by deep immersion in the forest and the diversity of environments and scales. The photographic work takes place at a slow pace, exploring rivers, streams, and trails on foot, with special attention to the light filtered by the vegetation, the details, and the atmosphere of the forest.
Activities include canoe trips, sunset cruises on the Rio Negro, and guided forest walks, creating opportunities to photograph dolphins, Amazonian birds, monkeys, sloths, and scenes of everyday river life. The forest also offers a powerful backdrop for intimate landscape photography, macro photography, and visual storytelling.
Nighttime experiences—such as alligator spotting, wildlife after sunset, and stargazing—expand the creative field, allowing you to explore night photography, low-light environments, and sensory storytelling.
In the Amazon, photography goes beyond recording: it becomes a practice of presence, listening, and deep connection with the forest.
