Brasília Photo Show - 2023

The Brasilian Photo Show is a photography contest and is considered the largest photography festival in Latin America and one of the four largest events of its kind in the world.
In the 2023 edition, 12,000 photographs were selected in the first phase of the contest, in a wide range of categories.
The BPS has already held eight editions.
Although it is a Brazilian contest, people of other nationalities can also participate.

The 2023 edition was my second time participating in this contest, and I was once again awarded an Honorable Mention in the Landscape category.
I submitted several photographs that made it through stages 2 and 3 of the contest, but only this photograph won the Honorable Mention award.
This image was taken in the city of El Chaltén, considered the trekking capital of Argentina, a small and charming town in Patagonia, located among mountains, lakes, and glaciers.
The region surrounding El Chaltén offers fantastic landscapes, including the best views of Mount Fitz Roy.
The photograph was taken before sunrise at a waterfall off the marked trail, which provides an incredible backdrop when Fitz Roy receives the first light of day.
